Origin

Date and author on f. 128b. Composed and written by the son of the Mingbegi Molla Nimet of Khotan Talib akhon on the first day of the month Djumadi-ul-akhir 1317 = October 7th 1899. The title of the book is sahib-name. Probably Talib akhon is the author also of Prov. 115, 116.

Provenance

The ms. once belonged to Rev. Lars Erik Högberg of the Swedish Mission of Kashghar. Most probably he ordered the copy to be made.

Acquisition

Acquired from Lars Erik Högberg's widow, Mrs Sigrid Högberg by the Lund University Library in 1936.
