An Arabic manuscript. Title on f. 205a-b: ... . On f. 26 in Ahlbert's handwriting: Kitab Särh molla. A manuscript with this title is mentioned in the register of Vol. 10 of the Tashkent catalogue with reference to Vol. III:2483. This must be an error as the title is not to be found in the volume indicated; on the other hand in Vol. 5. No. 3808.

Origin
Date f. 205a 1099/1687-1688, which may refer to the original, not the actual copy. According to f. 205a the copy has been made in the city of Shah Jahan-abad in India (near Lahore?). Mentioned is one Muhammad Amin Bek Sistani. Author? Cf. Prov 181.
Provenance
On f. 115a a fine seal imprint. On f. 1a the name of a former owner. Bought by Rev. Gustaf Ahlbert in Kashghar in the 1930's - for 44 tanga (f. 2b); later on presented to Gunnar Jarring.
Acquisition
The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.
