Old number 51. An Eastern Turki manuscript. A history and biography of the two imams Hasan and Husain, originally written in Arabic by Shaykh Muhammad Hariri and translated into Persian, and from Persian into Turki (ff. 1b-2a). The original manuscript consists of ff. 4-199; ff. 1-3, 200-203 are evidently added later after loss of the beginning and end. On the inside of the front cover description of a remedy for headache and some other notes.

Origin
No date indicated, but probably early 19th century; ff. 1-3, 200-203 of somewhat later date but probably also early 19th century. Copyist: (f. 203a) Molla Shams-ud-Din.
Provenance
On f. 203b the name of a former owner. Bought from Rev. David Gustafsson who acquired the ms. in Yarkand in the 1920's.
Acquisition
The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.
