Old number 153. The beginning is missing of this treatise, no doubt a translation from Arabic or Persian, dealing with the dogmas of Islam.

Support:paper, ff. 1-45 indigenous, white to yellowish brownish, lightly polished; ff. 46-104 coarse, to very coarse, brownish, unpolished Khotan-paper

Origin

No date indicated but probably 18th century. On the inside front cover among the different notes the year 1208/1703-1704 which may indicate the age of the manuscript.

Provenance

Bought from Rev. Oskar Hermansson, who acquired the manuscript in Kashghar or Yarkand in the 1930's.

Acquisition

The ms. was part of the Jarring collection of Eastern Turkistan manuscripts donated to the Lund University Library in 1982.
